Community Revolving Fund Nigeria
On March 2, 2025, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani presented cheques totaling over N375 million to 10 communities as part of the Agro-Climatic Resilience in Semi-Arid Landscapes (ACReSAL) Project. Each community received $25,000 (approximately N37.5 million) from the Community Revolving Fund to invest in climate-smart, rain-fed agriculture. The benefitting communities include Anchau, Kuzuntu, Kubau, Zuntu, Jenau, Likoro, Jaja, Hunkuyi, Kudan, and Danmahawayi. citeturn0search3The ACReSAL Project, supported by the World Bank, aims to enhance agricultural resilience by promoting sustainable practices in semi-arid regions. This funding is expected to empower local farmers, improve crop yields, and contribute to environmental sustainability in Kaduna State.
Governor Sani emphasized the importance of adopting climate-smart agricultural practices to mitigate the adverse effects of climate change on farming communities. He encouraged beneficiaries to utilize the funds effectively to achieve food security and economic growth in the region.
