Empowering female students in Delta State
Tackling truancy and drug abuse in schools
Supporting girls’ education with menstrual hygiene solutions
The Creek Girl Empowerment Initiative (CGEI) recently organized a sensitization program in Delta State to raise awareness among female students in Esenaebe and Kpakima Secondary Schools. The initiative focused on addressing issues like truancy, drug abuse, and prostitution while promoting menstrual hygiene. CGEI also introduced a support system by establishing the Creek Girl Care Clinic and distributing sanitary pads to help ensure consistent school attendance. This initiative highlights the need for improved facilities and support for girls, aiming to curb dropout rates and enhance education access in remote areas.
