In a recent statement, Ilesanmi highlighted education, grassroots involvement, and policy reforms as essential to safeguarding ecosystems and achieving resilience.
Their work spans several areas: they conduct school outreaches, webinars, and interactive workshops to build environmental literacy; they campaign for the restoration of degraded ecosystems; and they push for better regulation and implementation of environmental laws and climate change strategies. GECAI also aims to bridge the gap between local knowledge and scientific research to ensure policies are both informed and practical.
