The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) has recorded 100% availability on all major crude oil pipelines during June 2025, according to Group CEO Bashir Bayo Ojulari at the 24th NOG Energy Week in Abuja. For the first time in years, Nigeria’s midstream network operated without disruptions—thanks to coordinated security measures and NNPC’s improved capacity to fund Joint Venture operations through prompt cash calls . Ojulari noted that this milestone has boosted crude production reliability and reflected a turnaround in operational efficiency within the sector.
Additionally, Ojulari announced significant progress on the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) gas pipeline, which has officially crossed the River Niger, marking a critical milestone ahead of its projected Q4 2025 completion. While celebrating these infrastructure successes, he emphasized the need for continued upstream investment and pledged that NNPC Ltd. would no longer tolerate underused oil or gas assets—reiterating its commitment under the 2021 Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) to drive industry growth and reliability.
