At the 8th Nigeria International Energy Summit (NIES) in Abuja, Shell Companies in Nigeria (SCiN) elevated its presence with a polished exhibition booth that spotlighted recent gas ventures by SPDC and offshore oil projects by SNEPCo. The exhibition was honored with the Best Upstream Company 2024 award, and SCiN held the esteemed Platinum Sponsorship status—underscoring its commitment to Nigeria’s energy sector. Minister of State for Petroleum, Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, visited the booth, praising Shell’s ongoing investments and reinforcing confidence in the country’s upstream ecosystems.
Beyond showcasing energy projects, Shell also delivered impactful community engagement through its Health-in‑Motion medical station—providing free health checks, lab services, and eye care to summit attendees and public visitors. More than 300 pairs of medicated glasses were provided, and nearly 400 individuals received eye treatments, highlighting Shell’s broader socio-health commitments alongside its industry engagement. Country Chair Osagie Okunbor noted that the exhibition aimed not only to drive investment but also to support reforms and development, reflecting Shell’s strategy to blend technical excellence with social value.
