The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has commenced exporting refined petroleum products, including aviation fuel, naphtha, Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), and automotive gas oil, to markets across Africa, Europe, America, and Asia. This development was announced by Mr. Ayirioritse Okerentie, Deputy Regional Director, South East, Dangote Cement, during the 36th Enugu International Trade Fair.

The refinery, with a capacity of 650,000 barrels per day, aims to reduce Nigeria’s dependence on imported refined products and has already begun impacting global fuel trading dynamics. Notably, in March 2025, the United States imported over two million barrels of jet fuel from the Dangote Refinery, highlighting its growing influence in international markets.
