The Lagos Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) has partnered with UNIDO and the Food and Beverage Recycling Alliance (FBRA) to improve plastic waste management in Lagos. The collaboration aims to promote recycling, reduce plastic pollution, and support circular economy practices.
In addition, UNIDO developed National Implementation Guidelines for Nigeria’s Plastic Waste Management Policy, supported by the Japanese Government, to enhance plastic waste collection and recycling across the country. This partnership highlights a push towards sustainable plastic waste management and environmental protection.
