The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has partnered with the NNPC and oil producers to boost in-country manufacturing of line pipes. A workshop held at the Nigerian Content Tower in Yenagoa brought together key industry players, including the Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS), Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG), and local pipe manufacturers.
NCDMB Executive Secretary Felix Omatsola Ogbe emphasized that achieving 100% local line pipe production is a goal of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development (NOGICD) Act. He highlighted the economic benefits, such as job creation and reduced reliance on imports.
The workshop focused on reviewing progress, tackling challenges, and identifying opportunities to enhance local production. NCDMB reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with industry stakeholders to drive Nigeria’s oil and gas sector’s industrial growth.
