– Global Mobilisation Set for 15-28 September Against Fossil Fuels & Inequality
– “Draw the Line” Demands: Clean Energy, Worker Rights, and Democratic Accountability
– Campaign Unites Workers, Youth, Indigenous Communities for Climate & Social Justice
A sweeping global campaign titled Draw the Line is set for 15–28 September 2025, with peak actions planned for 19-21 September, guiding mobilisations in towns and cities around the world. Organized by networks including 350.org, Climate Action Network, War on Want, and APMDD, the movement is a collective call to end injustice, pollution, and violence—and insist on rights, jobs, and justice. Activists will draw attention to the growing harm caused by fossil fuel expansion, climate disasters, and systemic inequalities, including the violent impacts on marginalized populations.
Among its demands are a phase-out of fossil fuels, a rapid shift to renewable energy systems, climate finance reforms favouring the Global South, defence of human rights, and the end of war and genocide. Campaigners argue that environmental crises cannot be separated from social, economic and political injustice, and are calling for democratic, inclusive action that centres workers, Indigenous groups, youth, women, and frontline communities. Actions will take many forms—marches, strikes, artistic interventions, symbolic “lines” drawn in public as statements of protest—seeking to push governments to go beyond promises and deliver concrete policy and funding changes.
