From Monday to Wednesday, the Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) is predicting widespread thunderstorms and rainy weather across all regions. In the north, states like Taraba, Adamawa, Kebbi, Borno, Yobe, Gombe, and Bauchi will see thunderstorms both in the mornings and evenings. Meanwhile, the north-central zone, including the FCT, Plateau, Nasarawa, Kogi, Benue, and Niger, will experience early-day storms and additional rainfall later in the afternoons. The south will face mostly cloudy skies with light rains across coastal and inland states during both morning and evening periods.

NiMet has urged citizens to take precautions ahead of strong winds and storms, advising residents to secure loose items, avoid driving in heavy rain, disconnect electrical appliances, and stay clear of tall trees. The agency also recommends that airline operators obtain detailed, airport-specific weather updates for operational safety. Continuous monitoring of weather advisories is strongly encouraged to stay ahead of evolving conditions.
