At the 2025 Nigeria Oil and Gas Opportunity Fair (NOGOF) in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Renaissance Africa Energy Company Limited was honored as the Nigerian Content International Upstream Operator of the Year. Managing Director and CEO Tony Attah received the prestigious Local Content Icon of the Year award. These accolades come just two months after Renaissance’s acquisition of The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited. In its first full month of operation, the company surpassed its production target by 40%, a feat lauded by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC) as “remarkable” and “sterling.”
Renaissance operates Nigeria’s largest oil and gas joint venture, the NNPC/Renaissance/TotalEnergies/AENR JV, with a 30% stake. The company is committed to leveraging indigenous expertise and strategic partnerships to drive responsible operations and deliver value across the energy value chain. Attah emphasized the role of the company’s workforce, joint venture partners, stakeholders, and shareholders in achieving these early successes.
