The Non-profit as Service (NASS) initiative, spearheaded by Servelead Humanitarian Initiative (SHI), is making significant strides in addressing Nigeria’s pressing social issues, particularly in education and health. By uniting leaders from diverse sectors, NASS aims to transform discussions into actionable solutions that empower individuals and communities.

On April 25, 2025, SHI hosted the third NASS Social Impact Roundtable in Abuja, focusing on leveraging innovative technologies to tackle societal challenges. The event featured the induction of three new Global NASS Ambassadors, including Dr. Linus Okorie, CEO of GOTNI Leadership Centre. Princess Alugwe, SHI’s Director of Operations, highlighted the importance of creating policy papers from these roundtables to guide stakeholders in implementing effective strategies. Addressing the nation’s social challenges, Alugwe emphasized that many Nigerians possess transformative ideas but lack the necessary resources to actualize them.

NASS serves as a platform to bridge this gap by connecting individuals and organizations with strategic partners and funding opportunities. The initiative promotes low-tech innovations, such as educational content via USSD and mobile applications, to enhance accessibility and awareness in underserved communities.

Engr. Ayodele Olawande, Minister of Youth Development, underscored the urgency of addressing youth unemployment and limited access to quality education. He advocated for a collaborative approach that empowers young Nigerians to become architects of change, emphasizing the role of technology and mentorship in building a resilient future.
