Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Ekperikpe Ekpo, is set to speak at the Invest in African Energy (IAE) 2025 conference, scheduled to hold on May 14-15 in Paris, France. The event will bring together key stakeholders from across Africa’s energy sector, including policymakers, investors, and project developers, to discuss unlocking investment and partnerships to scale up the continent’s energy infrastructure.
Minister Ekpo will spotlight Nigeria’s potential in the gas sector and highlight current initiatives aimed at promoting Nigeria as a leading destination for gas investment. As Africa’s largest holder of proven gas reserves, Nigeria is seeking to boost domestic utilization and increase exports to global markets. Ekpo’s participation will also focus on the Nigerian government’s efforts to deepen gas monetization, reduce flaring, and enhance energy security.
IAE 2025 serves as a major platform for public and private sector leaders to drive new energy deals and collaborative projects, especially in liquefied natural gas (LNG) and gas-to-power sectors. The event is organized by Energy Capital & Power and supported by leading African and global energy organizations. Ekpo’s attendance reaffirms Nigeria’s commitment to diversifying its economy through gas development and positions the country to attract vital foreign investments to its energy industry.
