The Benue State Government and UNICEF have joined forces to improve hygiene standards in rural communities across the state. The partnership aims to address poor sanitation practices and provide clean water and hygiene facilities to underserved areas.
During a stakeholders’ meeting, Benue State Commissioner for Water Resources and Environment, Dr. Godwin Oyiwona, stressed the need for collective efforts to improve rural health outcomes.
UNICEF representative Dr. Ibrahim Conteh reaffirmed UNICEF’s commitment to supporting Benue in achieving better hygiene practices, reducing disease outbreaks, and promoting community well-being.
