The World Health Organization (WHO) has announced that 25 countries will introduce malaria vaccines into their national immunization programs by 2025. This expansion aims to protect millions of children across Africa and other high-risk regions from malaria-related deaths.WHO explained that the vaccines will be integrated into routine immunization schedules, significantly boosting efforts to curb malaria infections and reduce child mortality rates. The initiative builds on successful pilot programs in Ghana, Kenya, and Malawi.
According to WHO, malaria remains one of the world’s deadliest diseases, especially for children under five, making this vaccine rollout a critical step toward achieving global health targets.
