- Ethiopia Accelerates Clean Energy Development with ATIDI Support
Ethiopia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the African Trade and Investment Development Insurance (ATIDI) to support the development of renewable energy projects under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework.
The agreement aims to enhance Ethiopia’s renewable energy sector by providing risk mitigation solutions, attracting private sector investment, and ensuring project bankability. ATIDI will offer financial guarantees and insurance mechanisms to de-risk energy infrastructure projects, fostering a more sustainable and resilient energy landscape in Ethiopia.
This partnership aligns with Ethiopia’s commitment to clean energy expansion, supporting the country’s ambition to increase its reliance on renewable sources like hydro, wind, and solar power. By leveraging ATIDI’s expertise, Ethiopia aims to accelerate infrastructure development, improve energy access, and drive economic growth through sustainable investments.
