On January 29, 2025, Nigeria’s Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, met with Brazilian officials to explore collaboration opportunities in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and GovTech. The discussions, which involved ApexBrasil and other Brazilian agencies, aim to leverage AI for sustainable development in both countries. Nigeria sees Brazil’s expertise in GovTech as a key resource for enhancing public sector services. Tijani also highlighted the importance of this collaboration for digital trade and improving governmental functions. A Technology Exchange mission to Brazil is planned for April 2025.
