Governor Umo Eno of Akwa Ibom State has pledged full support for Seplat Energy Group’s operations, reinforcing the State’s commitment to fostering investor-friendly policies.
During a courtesy visit to the Government House in Uyo by Seplat’s Board and Management, Governor Eno lauded the company for its recent acquisition of Mobil Producing Nigeria Unlimited (MPNU) from ExxonMobil. He emphasized that his administration prioritizes initiatives that directly benefit the people.
Governor Eno urged Seplat to consider leveraging the state’s employment portal to recruit local talent and explore premium office accommodations like the Udom Emmanuel Towers to enhance operations.
He expressed optimism about Seplat Energy’s future under the leadership of Board Chairman Udoma Udo Udoma, citing the company’s proven expertise and strategy to remain Nigeria’s leading independent energy provider.
Udoma highlighted that the visit aimed to formally inform the Governor of the successful MPNU acquisition and to strengthen ties with the State Government.
This partnership underscores Akwa Ibom’s dedication to creating an enabling environment for businesses, fostering economic growth, and improving local employment opportunities.
