The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has reiterated its commitment to supporting Nigeria’s agricultural sector, which is vital to the nation’s economy. During the opening of the FARMFATECH expo in Abuja, ACCI President Emeka Obegolu emphasized the importance of showcasing agro-allied investment opportunities and engaging policymakers to boost the sector’s growth.
Obegolu highlighted the need for innovation and collaboration in agriculture to overcome challenges like climate change, financing, and market fluctuations. He added that agriculture plays a critical role in providing livelihoods, sustaining communities, and strengthening the economy.
Afreximbank’s President, Prof. Benedict Oramah, stressed the importance of agricultural financing to improve value chains and build resilient food systems. Represented by Mr. Eric Monchu Intong, he called for stronger partnerships to address financing gaps and ensure sustainable growth in agriculture across Africa.
